Whirlpool quiet partner II starts and stops. What should I check?

My Whirlpool DU943PWKBO quiet partner II starts and then stops during a cycle and does not drain. It will run for 10 seconds or so and then stop for several minutes and then repeat. It leaves water in the dishwasher, when I push the cancel/drain button it will drain out just fine. What should I check?

What I have come to realize is that the position of the top shelf prevents the soap dispenser for opening. I have tested this multiple times and the same problem happens. I will be cutting off the bars on the left side of the top tray tomorrow to validate. No problems with the motherboard. All the problems are with the soap dispenser not opening. That is when the unit stops and enters cancel cycle. Bad designing with the soap dispenser opening from the top

The first thing to do is unplug it for 3 minutes then check to see if it reset by running

Hi,
It sounds like the control unit has gone bad and you will have to replace it...the replacement is not very hard, just make sure to mark the wires so you get them back were they belong on the new unit.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner ii lights stay on after the cycle is complete. when I go to start a new cycle it will not allow me to select a washing cycle, or does not allow the start button to activate.

Are you sure the cycle is complete?
If it is drying dishes then you will be interrupting the cycle. It is possible to cancel cycle and start over.

Whirlpool quiet partner II stops running or won't complete it's was cycle, sometimes is will wash for a few minutes and stop or it will stop before the water even starts to flow.

I had the same problem with my dishwasher. After hearing that the motherboard was the problem I decided to take a closer look. There were two capacitors (1000 microfarads, 6.3 volts) that looked a little suspect. The tops of capacitors should be flat...these looked like soda cans that had been left in the freezer. Got on eBay, located the capacitors for roughly $3 and $4 shipping, for approx total of $10. Soldered the two new capacitors into the motherboard and put it back together. As soon as I closed the door, the dishwasher started draining the water. When I ran a Normal cycle it completed successfully. Saved myself over $120!

Quiet partner ii just stopped

Most likely it has an internal fuse or relay gone bad. Check the curcuit w/ a "glow stick" power identifier available at Lowes or Home Depot.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner II not washing or sensing.

I have a whirlpool quiet partner II and for some reason it does not drain the water out any more and I cannot figure out why....people say that it is the filter but that is unbelievably hard to get to and I cannot find any instructions online or paper work that tells how to break it down. If anyone has any insight please let me know
