Maybe a quick fix and maybe not
check your muffler the factory puts a spark arrestor screen that tends to plug after awhile
there is a little plate on the side muffler that needs to be removed to access the screen you may need a torx bit or allen wrench to remove
you may have to remove the back half of the plastic cover to access the screws
remove screen and clean with carb. cleaner or equivalent make sure you can see through it and reverse the procedure to put it back

My suggestion is to return it. This is just a sign of future problems you are likely to have in the future. Think about buying a better item from a dealer that services what they sell. It is very much worth the difference in price. More than likely the unit they sell you will last 5 times longer than what you buy in the home center. Think about it. The servicing dealer does not want to have to repair everything they sell 4 or 5 times a year so they will not sell you junk.
SOURCE: I have a 26cc ryobi weed trimmer--primer bulb will
Possible issues:
1. Primer bulb or bottom assembly has crack or hole in it (needs replacing). See ebay for about $6.00
2. Fuel lines are not sealing to the primer nipples properly (cut line and re-attach if you have sufficient line available) otherwise; replace.
3. You may be somehow kinking the fuel lines when you clip it back in place due to fuel lines too short
My bet: #1 or #2. Good luck!
