For those wondering about replacing the water inlet valve - this is a very simple undertaking. You can find the part online for around 40 bucks. All you have to do is unplug the washer, detach the hot and cold supply hoses, remove the lid (3 torx bits on my model) unhook the water line from the old inlet valve (conveniently accessible at the top right of the unit from the rear), unhook the electrical connections (be sure to label these for later re-attachment), unscrew the 1 screw holding the valve in place, and reverse the process with the new valve. I'm hoping this will stop water accumulating in the drum - I'll update later if it does not.

you need a new one of these. i took mine COMPLETELY apart and found the impeller jammed. the impeller is a magnet in a sealed plastic carrier with an electro magnet around it. the electro magnet energizes , the two opposing fields spin the inner magnet ( just like a fish tank filter good idea actually!) the inner magnet on mine had a slight crack from factory causing vibration and allowing debris past the seal then jamming the impeller. to check yours drain it with the small drain tube, then get a towel or two and place around the unit at the floor.pull the large black drain cover off and after the gushing tidal wave look inside. you will see the white impeller. try turning it with w screw driver , pen or whatever. you may be able to remove and then clean / reassemble and be good as new. i only needed two tools to tear the machine apart. a Phillips screwdriver and pliers to get the clamps on the pump (2) and the clamp back on the door to drum gasket.
SOURCE: error code Sd (or 5d)
It means Suds Lock(Overdose of Detergent Detected During The Wash Cycle). If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 litres of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try to spin or drain again.
If too much detergent was used:
– Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
– Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch and Central Control Unit(CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test.

The SD error code is caused by using the wrong detergent or excessive amounts of detergent.
To correct the issue: Make sure to use HE detergent. Note: Using Non - HE Detergent will cause oversudsing and can damage the washer. Do not use too much detergent.
Note: If using HE 2x - 5x concentrate detergent, reduce the amount being used. The washer will try to run a mini-clean out cycle using cold water and a 5 minute pause to clear the suds. If this cycle does not clear the display and complete the cycle the clothing may need to be rinsed by hand and then rewashed without detergent.
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
Error code 5d/Sd means suds have been detected. To solve this
problem you have to take the bottom front panel apart and then clean the drain
filter pump assembly completely, make sure the washer is unplugged before
working on it. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
