SOURCE: Sharp LC-52D62U HDTV won't tune-in channel 21.
I finally got Sharp to repair the TV. It was under warenty but they said if the problem wasn't with the TV they were going to charge me for the service call. I told them I wanted a new TV. They sent the tech instead of a new TV. He replaced the turner card and it worked!! Now I get all the channels as well as channel 21.

Hi Nick Howard, I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Who is your TV service provider? I know Comcast just charged the channel lineup a week or two ago, so some channels that were are no longer, and some just changed their number.
Hi Coss, thanks for the reply. I am situated in Australia and using freeview (not cable or satellite TV) through a standard antenna cable running from the socket in the wall. It doesn't look like it's a signal issue as I have tested on other TV's. It seems like a TV fault as the unit gets to 93% when auto tuning then freezes and I need to turn the TV off to unfreeze. Manual tuning works but it's not retrieving any channels? I have reread my initial comment and it should say that I removed the antenna from the TV and ran auto tuning to wipe all the channels before reconnecting the antenna cable but auto tune would not complete.... Any suggestions on how to fix? The TV is around 5 years old and has never had any problems previously. Cheers.
Wow Nick I at a loss as to true cause; it does sound like the tuner card has gone bad. Why did it happen during this time? It's a typical electronic product; They can have a part go bad for no reason at all. Here's the link for the LG knowledge base http://answers.lg.com/answers/7676/categ... and that's about as much help as I can offer at this point. From what I saw, it's most likely the tuner card and the only fix is a card replacement.
