SOURCE: furnace won't turn on, off, with or without remote

We hotwired the thermostat wires and the furnace started. That told us that the problem was with the thermostat. We took our remote control to another camper like ours and our remote worked their furnace. That told us that the problem was in the ceiling control for the furnace/ac. But the man who owned the other camper told us that he had a problem, too, and was told to unplug all the electric including the battery, wait 2 minutes, and hook up again. This might reprogram the circuitboard, and voila! It worked.

SOURCE: duo-therm by dometic ac rv unit

I suspect that you have a bad selector switch for the on, off, low fan, high fan operation. If the selector switch is put into the off position everything should stop completely.

SOURCE: dometic ac/heat pump

Would suggest it is drawing excessive current, make sure both fans are going, (inside will cycle low/high), or possible faulty reversing valve solenoid, or could be as simple as loose wire connection, how long does it run for and is it on the same 20amp breaker as the rear?if so start by running only the front unit in cooling 15/20min, check fans running, no unusual bearing noises, switch off for 60 sec then back on heat mode, if unit runs without stopping rewire onto separate circuit, if inside fan not working on heat check bi-metal switch in the airway, if running for a while, fans going but not very warm, check reversing valve.
Note, electrical's should be tested by someone who are qualified in the field.

SOURCE: RV Dometic AC Comfort Control Double EE Problem

I have a dometic duo-therm. The unit works great and fan blows strong and both high and low work., but air is coming out of the ceiling unit rather than the duct work. The bedroom unit works OK, but the air is strong out of one duct, and not much comes out of the others. The front unit only has air coming out on the A/C unit and none out of the ducts.

SOURCE: dometic control comfort control will not turn heat on or off

I had the same problem. I fixed it by turning off the battery switch to disconnect the battery from the power panel. I then had to turn off the main 110 breakers to shut down the converter. Once all the power was turned off the LED light went off. When I turned the power back on the remote was working fine. Hope this works for you.

My dometic remote IR0101 seems to be working but the ac is not turning off when it reaches the differential. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your thermostat is stuck or your main contactor is stuck. Try shifting modes on your thermostat. If still stuck, try removing the thermostat, if the AC system did not stop it is your main contactor stuck and needs replaced. If your AC system stopped, it is your thermostat stuck and needs replaced.

The remote control will not control the friedrich ac/heat unit. you can control the unit manually with control board . purchased new remote and it still won't work.

Chances are that the unit and new control have to be paired or reset to each other. Or The new control will have to be iniated. Check with friedrich to see about procedural needs

Ok/select doesn't work with magnavox dvd player

Hi, make sure you Comcast remote is in the "DVD" mode before attempting to work the DVD features. If it is still not working. You need to reprogram your Comcast remote to a different Magnavox DVD code because the code it is currently set for not fully compatible. If you need the instructions to reprogram your Comcast remote go here. If you would like to purchase a new Magnavox DVD player remote you can also search on Replacement Remotes for your DVD player's model number located on the back of the unit. If they have it, it will show for purchase.

I have a rooftop dometic A/C With heat strip. Unit is controlled with a two button ceiling mounted selector control or a remote control. there are no selection controls on the adb box. Unit does not...

First thing I need to ask is , are you sure, it has the strip, or coil, and did it work before? Did you actually remove ceiling cover and see it in there? The reason I ask is that it is very common for someone to tell you it has it, but it actually has the option, but no coil installed, or lower control box is wrong one. Also, once that's confirmed, could you give me the model #'s off the base of the upper unit, as well as the numbers on the control box?
Obviously the cover inside will need to be removed to do all this.
