The remote controller doesn't work. The ac/heat unit works by pushing selection on the unit on the wall. Where can I buy a new remote controller pnir0101
SOURCE: furnace won't turn on, off, with or without remote
We hotwired the thermostat wires and the furnace started. That told us that the problem was with the thermostat. We took our remote control to another camper like ours and our remote worked their furnace. That told us that the problem was in the ceiling control for the furnace/ac. But the man who owned the other camper told us that he had a problem, too, and was told to unplug all the electric including the battery, wait 2 minutes, and hook up again. This might reprogram the circuitboard, and voila! It worked.

I suspect that you have a bad selector switch for the on, off, low fan, high fan operation. If the selector switch is put into the off position everything should stop completely.
SOURCE: dometic ac/heat pump
Would suggest it is drawing excessive current, make sure both fans are going, (inside will cycle low/high), or possible faulty reversing valve solenoid, or could be as simple as loose wire connection, how long does it run for and is it on the same 20amp breaker as the rear?if so start by running only the front unit in cooling 15/20min, check fans running, no unusual bearing noises, switch off for 60 sec then back on heat mode, if unit runs without stopping rewire onto separate circuit, if inside fan not working on heat check bi-metal switch in the airway, if running for a while, fans going but not very warm, check reversing valve.
Note, electrical's should be tested by someone who are qualified in the field.

I have a dometic duo-therm. The unit works great and fan blows strong and both high and low work., but air is coming out of the ceiling unit rather than the duct work. The bedroom unit works OK, but the air is strong out of one duct, and not much comes out of the others. The front unit only has air coming out on the A/C unit and none out of the ducts.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by turning off the battery switch to disconnect the battery from the power panel. I then had to turn off the main 110 breakers to shut down the converter. Once all the power was turned off the LED light went off. When I turned the power back on the remote was working fine. Hope this works for you.
