If the battery charger on your Evatac flashlight blinks from red to green repeatedly when you connect the batteries to the charger, it could indicate a problem with the batteries or the charger itself.
Here are a few possible reasons why the charger is blinking from red to green:
The batteries may be faulty or damaged. In this case, the charger may not be able to charge the batteries properly, causing it to blink from red to green.
The charger may be detecting a problem with the batteries, such as overcharging or overheating. In this case, the charger may be designed to stop charging and start blinking from red to green as a warning.
There could be an issue with the charger itself, such as a loose connection or a faulty circuit. In this case, the charger may not be able to properly charge the batteries, causing it to blink from red to green repeatedly.
It is recommended to check the batteries and charger for any visible signs of damage or wear, such as corroded or dirty connections. If the issue persists, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further assistance.
A red light indicates the charger is charging the battery, an amber light means it has switched from fast rate charging to trickle to keep the battery topped off, and green would mean the battery is completely charged. But don't be fooled waiting for green, many times the charger will only be on green for a moment before changing to amber and keeping the battery topped off.
Flashing can be a sign of a problem on some chargers.
A rapid flashing red can on some chargers indicate a bad or shorted battery, or a bad battery contact in the charger itself. If in question, try a different battery on the charger or compare with another charger to determine if the blinking is normal.
Hi,
Look at the connector end that plugs into the bike. You might have to take it apart to see the wires inside. My son has a Razor Vespa type scooter and the solder job for the wires inside the connector were not the best. It might be a broken wire, especially if it's flashing between red and green.
hi, a blinking red light ,is telling you that a battery is going bad or you have a bad plug , or your charger is going bad . I had a razor scooter that had the blinking red light, it was a busted plug on the scooter where it plugs in.I had one scooter that had the blinking red light, it was A battery gone bad . good luck!
the steady red light showing when in charger shows that
it is charging. the blinking red light when taken out of
charger or turned on and off means it is not fully charged.
leave it in charger till red light turns green.
