When you replaced the belt you either got a shorter belt or you have rerouted the belt wrong. You might try and get an original; belt and replace the one on the tractor. Good Luck-David

Im assuming the tractor is a hydrostatic, in this case when the transmission starts to go...thats it, call the company and find a replacment or get another tractor. unfortunately rebuilding them isnt all that worth it

Sounds like one of your safeties are bad. Probably the seat switch (operator presence switch) under the seat. Pull the seat up and look at your switch. If you have meter then check for continuity when the switch is made.
