There is an on/off button. The iron turns itself off after disuse for a period of time. When it does so, it lights this button. The diagram to the buttons is a few pages earlier than page 6 which describes the behavior of this button. Notice there is no "reset" button in this list other that this on/off button. The user manual:
Once you have descaled the boiler and refilled your frontpiece of the iron itself (hopefully with distilled water - any supermarket) you press the "reset"/ "restart" button on the back end of the steam generating unit. When the water is hot enough press steam button & turbo button a few times - WARNING: make sure iron is facing downwards and cover ironing board with old rag because initially brown steam splatter will come out on first few steam releases.
There is a reset button on the bottom of the unit under the handle. Gently remove rubber connector and press button with toothpick or metal paper clip. Do not hold button down longer than two seconds.
test the c.breaker reset from the wall if use c.breaker wall, or from the service panel c.breaker. Some times the power cord has c.breaker to reset the button red too. God bless you
The problem is the thermostat (NC 150 C). A replacement is available at Digikey.com, item R2015025 (part no. 317-1468-ND) It's a simple replacement with the bottom removed.
