Mr Fixya, I was soaking some whites, noticed next morning it had error numbers. I unpluged it thinking l could just start cycle from the start. Nothing has come on since! Clothes locked in! I finaly read enough to know how to open lid,got clothes out. Now l have stinky water. How can l get water drained? Then how can l fix my washer? I cannot afford to get it fixed. DT McCalls quoted price on phone $300. This was min...I only gave $500. I told them exactly what l am telling you. It's hard to believe anything is wrong with it just from unpluging it when a cycle had stoped in error. I wish l had got a plain washer. Those things last 25- 30 years! Thank You so Much! God Bless You Richly!
Hi, you could try locating the water filter and checking & cleaning it out plus shine a torch down the hole to check for any objects stuck in the pump blades such as hairclips, coins etc. Make sure you have a tray/container /towels etc beneath the filter opening to catch the water and use the drain tube first (if supplied) to drain water slowly into your container. If that's not it, try checking the drain tube and drain itself for any blockages. Good luck from England!
SOURCE: usage of HE detergents
The best he soap I have seen yet is all, he is high effieciency low suds soap. The rule of thumb for liquid he soap is 2 Tbl for every 1 Tbl of softener. Powder can be used but is not good on pumps and build up in tubs. If you have a water softener you can use 25% less soap. Still with powder you need about a 1/4 cup per load to equal a 2 Tbl liquid variety. Suds damage pump impellers, seals and hoses from expansion and that is it on the reason "why to use he".

Hi, I don't know if this is much help to you now as it has been a while since you posted your problem. I had the exact same problem and after a lot of swearing and 2 days and no help what so ever from LG I took matters into my own hands.
I took the top off the the machine and removed the small steel plate, you will know what I am talking about after you have done the same.
I had my hubby hold the tub back as far as possible and used a screw driver to release the latch which is at the front of the machine about half way down. You will see a small silver steel knobby looking thing. After the machine was finally opened I unscrewed the screws on the inside of the door and used a flat screw driver to prise the housing apart. Be careful not to drop the glass window as when the housings start coming apart the window is no longer secure.
I found that a small piece of plastic on the handle had perished and broken not allowing the correct function. A phone call to Sunstate spare parts got the new handle to me within a few days at a cost of $20.95.
My only problem now is putting the bloody thing back together. I have been at it for 3 days with no sucess. If you manage to work out how to put yours together please let me know. I hope this has helped and hasnt come too late.
Cherie.

Wash empry with detergent and double bleach with extra hot water. When cycle is complete open the door to the washer and let airdry. When you close the door with it wet it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also not be using the correct detergent or the correct amount of detergent.

Probably the pump filter is blocked.Make sure the machine is empty...Access filter via small door at floor level. Unscrew the filter cap, and clean filter. check that there isn't a coin stopping the impeller vanes. ...When you take the cap off, any water left in machine will flow out!! Leaning the machine back can help.....Good luck...Nomess
