Main motor doesn't turn
SOURCE: how do I turn off the beepers on my Bosch washer
To turn the beep off (or volume down) on the Exxcel 7 (BOSCH WAE24468GB you do the following:
1. Turn setting dial to off.
2. Turn dial one step clockwise (wait for panel to light)
3. Keep finger on 'RPM' button and turn dial another step clockwise and release finger.
4. The default setting of '2' should appear on the display, this represents the Button Signal Volume
5. Pressing 'Ready in' button cycles through the volume settings from 0 (off) to 4 (very loud!).
6. Turn dial another step clockwise to set the 'Information Signal Volume', which is also set to '2' by default. This is the one that annoys everyone at the end of the cycle!
All the manuals are on the Bosch website, if you know the model code.
If the tub still moves but it's just not spinning that fast (and the water is draining out), then that means your motor control board has just started to fail and it will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. If you pull the washer out and remove the back panel, there is a control board mounted to the floor under the tub. This is the motor control board and it will need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue.
