Why does my Black and Decker jump box lights flicker

-Battery is low.
-Jump to start and let it runs for 15 minutes then you're okay.

Car Jump Starter from BLACK DECKER

First: the Jump-Starter power switch must be in the "On" poistion, or no voltage will be delivered to the clamps to light your test light.

This product has a sealed lead acid battery. For maximum battery life, we recommend the Jump-Starter be kept
fully charged at all times. Recharge before first use, immediately after each use, and once a month if not used.
Failure to do this may reduce the battery life dramatically. To check the battery charge status at any time, press
the Battery Charge Level Pushbutton.
When the battery is overly discharged and if the green LED is lit when the charger is plugged in, this indicates the
battery is at a high impedance stage.
In this event, recharge the unit and leave the unit on charge for a period of 24-48hrs before using the unit.

It is likely that the battery is never fully charged so have the battery checked as it may be not good anymore.

You can try to call Interstate Battery 888-772-3600. I have purchased batteries for my jump packs from them before.

in a word,,,,,yes! if the battery was left so long in a flat state it may never recoover so you wont charge it up,,,,,but you could try hooking up a small car battery charger to the jump leads and try charging it up that way,,,it may just work,,,

do a google search and enter your vector model # with black & decker and you should find the right charger. ex: vector vec010s
