Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – useful when downloading IPLs and Manuals
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

With your serial
It was the 433 Husky product produced;
The 45th week of;
19- 75, 85, or 95. Contact them. Black on silver or silver on black on the serial tag is one way to verify age but it is my ability to provide an informed answer.

SOURCE: i have a husqvarna 455 rancher that won't run at

Clean or replace the fuel filter. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Check the muffler for plugging of the screen. Be sure to run with fresh fuel mix and to shake the container thoroughly each time just before filling the tank to prevent oil starvation. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: I have a husqvarna model

Fuel starvation, replace the fuel filter in the tank, check the fuel hose up to the carb, pay special attention to where it leaves the tank as they do perish, failing this then there is dirt in the carb.

SOURCE: Cannot find adjustment oil screw on my Husqvarna 61 Chainsaw

The 61 has a 4 position oil pump, the adjuster is a black plastic screw located to the top right hand corner of the pump face, just behind the sprocket, you will have to clean around that area to find it. The pump has numbers 1 to 4 around the screw, 4 being the highest position.

My husqvarna 125b leaf blower only runs on full choke. If I move it to half choke it dies. I've taken the carb out and cleaned it and that didn't help.

Sounds like the mixture is out - trial and error really or take to licensed repairer they will let you know if you need a new carb or whatever is stopping it from running normal :)
Good Luck!

My husqvarna chain saw will run only if choke is at least half way out

this is a sure sign of a fuel blockage some place !! id start with fuel filter and air filter and then look closely at fuel lines for signs of collapsing when running (CAREFULLY!!!!!) then move on to cleaning and resetting carb jets

remember choke richens fuel/air mix so if it needs choke to run then it's being restricted in fuel supply

My husqvarna 61 will only run if choke is at least half out

this is obviously an older saw but a great model. most likely, the carb diaphragms are pillowed or hard. rebuild carb, check fuel hoses, check for scoring, lack of compression could cause this.

455 rancher runs with chock out 15 second and dies

Try opening the choke half way as soon as it starts then all the way open in a few seconds... It only needs the choke to start and should run fine in less than a minute after idleing with the choke not engaged...

I own a Husqvarna 128LD. My trimmer works on full choke, half choke, and when in the run position...it runs...but when the trigger is on balls to the wall throttle, it goes dead. What is my next move?

The next step is to richen the fuel mixture on the H screw on the carb, there is a special tool required to turn the adjuster screws because they have a splinr rather than a screw driver slot, the tool is part np. 530035560 unscrew tthe H screw 1/4 turn anti clockwise.

My husqvarna 128ld starts and idles fast but only with the choke half on. Give it gas or take the choke off and it dies.

Possibly a fuel starvation issue, incorrect fuel air mix or an air leak within the fuel system

I can't find the adjustment for the fuel mixture on my chainsaw, it is a husqvarna 61. i see the throttle adjustment but that is not helping, i have to keep the choke about 1/2 way out in order to keep it...

It is running lean. Continued operation like that will cause it to fail. Spend $40 for a tune up by your friendly neighborhood chainsaw seller/mechanic. If you ask nice they will show the location of the carburetor adjustments (3 normally). HTH

My husqvarna GTH2448T has to be choked to run

check the fuek lines for hole and leaks, check the fuel filter and clean if necessary. remove the carbuerator and inspect the gasket; it should be soft and flexible, if it seems hard or brittle replace it. clean the carb with carb cleaner sray (available at any local auto parts store) and compressed air. make sure you get inside the small fuel rail holes.
