Google that model number with ballast or lamp ballast to locate the part and its number. Usually the color wheel will not operate if ballast is not working---Lamp comes on and stays on the Ballast is good.
Is there any noise associated with the times that the unit flickers? Samsungs are notorious for losing the color wheel. I have replaced many and they usually make a high pitched whining sound. It could be high enough of a frequency that you may not hear it. If the lamp is new and the old lamp did not shatter or short out before you changed it I would say that the ballast is fine and I would change the color wheel. You will have to at some point as this is the weak point with the Samsung units. Hi, Samsung haves a known issue with the ballast, once you make a replacement of the lamp, sometimes its harder to ignite a new lamp that has 100% of gas inside than igniting a old lamp that has maybe 60% or 50% of gas inside. Just in order to ignite the lamp, the ballast needs to send some High Pulses of Voltage, as high as 15 kV (that is the constant clicking sound that you are hearing). In order to resolve this you need to change the Ballast Board.
I tried to look for your ballast with your TV Model # at samsungparts.com , but nothing showed up.

Hi, bearings in color wheel are about to fail, get it fixed now before the wheel shatters the prisms all over the inside of the tv which of course will then cost you more to fix, video-tek
I think its the flyback and its starting to leak. this is a component responsible for the high voltage of your tv set. always observe safety in dealing with this. Have it check by a qualified technician. Good luck!
