not sure if this helps, but we bought the same FP270 11 months ago & use it 3-4 times a week with juicing attachment with carrots & apples. Last week the motor started to smell, and motor burnt out completely today with dust & noxious smoke coming out of the bottom. The Good Guys exchanged it for FPM270 with no hassles under warranty. I don't think the motor is powerful enough for serious kitchen work & had many cracks in the plastic parts.
Something needs to be reinstalled or reset. You may not want to turn it on right now. If that is a warning lamp. Is this the first time used?If so, unplug it and use the blade tool to manually rotate the motor in direction of normal rotation, rotate several times and hands and tool clear, plug it in. I went through the same thing...as it turns out, everything was locked
into place but I had the handle in the back rather than the front where
the sensor is. Good luck. I hope that helps you.
