Common causes in order... 1) Trick riding (more than momentary non-horizontal bike angles). Hard cornering isn't usually the problem. Low speed + high lean angle can be but more often than not it is all those wheelies and end overs everyone thinks are so neato. 2) Excessive, sustained high RPMs (riding cross country at redline) which causes the oil in your crankcase to look like a battle scene from The Avengers. 3) Bad PCV valve (if you have one).
It may be a safety switch in the clutch lever or bike stand switch being a bit sticky or broken wire in the wiring harness near the steering head that bends alot.
buy a more tensioned spring thats very dangerous aswell for now but a cable tie around the stand to stop this my dads bike done this and smashed into a wall he couldnt lean over
