SOURCE: Frigidaire Front loading washer error codes E41 and E20
Hi
E20 is a drainage error. If there is water in the drum make sure the discharge pipe at the back of the machine is not kinked or blocked. You should also check the pump filter is not clogged - this is behind the front panel underneath the drum at the front of the machine.
E41 = Control board thinks the door switch is open. This points towards a faulty door switch on the machine.
Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many thanks.

I just had the same issue!! It is either the control board or the door switch...I replaced my door latch/switch unit and it works great!! I ordered from www.repairclinic.com it took two days to ship it to me and I was back in business. I have never worked on an appliance before in my life, but it was super easy to do!!

Hello
& Welcome to FixYa E41
error indicates that the problem is with door lock assembly, it is displayed
when the control board thinks that the door switch is open. To solve this
problem you have to remove the door lock assembly and measure the resistance of
the PTC. If it reads open then the door lock assembly needs replacement
however, if the reading is around 1500 ohms then replacing the control board is
recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin

Alcon, Reading through it I checked the error code and had
E43 at first. This was bad because it meant the control panel needed replacing.
I reset the codes and ran the diagnostic tests and a
new code of E41 appeared. As I suspected the door switch from the start; I took
it apart to find the center contact was not making the connection complete once
the relay locked the door. With a small file I cleaned up that contact (as well
as the other two near the relay) and bent it slightly upward. This allowed it
to make contact with the upper center contact again. I believe it gets bent from many door closings and
perhaps slamming it closed. I only suggest this procedure to experienced persons.
Ensure the power cord is unplugged before any screw
is removed. As suggested with the voltage check there was not
120v at the black wire on J2. This is why I dissected the door switch. Or if you prefer you can order a new one for $65-

I used this forum to get ideas on my washer problem.
After reading through several posts I looked for the manual that was indeed
taped inside the back panel, on the left side of the washer.

Hello barnessursula - Typically error code E5E indicates that there is a communication problem. Base on the intensity of the issue, I suggest contacting a professional technician to accurately repair the unit. Technician will need to check the wiring between the main control board and the speed control board. Depending on the diagnoses and if the wiring is bad, it has to be corrected. However, if the wiring is good the main control board will need to be replace or if the problem is not corrected, the speed control board will need replacing.
I appreciate your post, Trent!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code of E41 and the door is locked and will not open. An E41 error code means that your main control board thinks the door is open. I would recommend performing a reset on your washer and you can do that by disconnecting power from your washer for at least ten minutes. If that does not help correct your issue it could be a possible problem with your door lock assembly, control panel, or wiring harness. You may need to seek assistance from a professional technician to avoid unnecessary part purchases. I hope this is helpful to you. -Matt
Good Morning friend, that's a great question!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, ATF7000ES0, is displaying an error code of "E41" and you would like assistance in troubleshooting that code. An "E41" typically stands for your main control board thinks the door switch is open. This could be a possible problem with your door switch assembly or main control board. I would recommend performing a reset just in case there is a miscommunication within the board and you can do that by disconnecting power from your washer for roughly ten minutes. If you restore power and continue to see an "E41" I would look over the door switch to make sure it is not damaged. If any electrical components need to be replaced I would suggest having a professional technician out to properly disassemble your washer. This will help you to avoid any future issues. -Matt
Hello phrainer3 - Error code E41 indicates that the main control board thinks the door switch is open. Contact a professional to check the continuity between the pins in the plug and door strike. The unit either has a defective door switch assembly or main control board.
