Razor Mx500 runs fine then stops

The batteries are fully charged, rides for a while (times vary sometimes five minutes, sometimes 20) then it cuts off. There are no sounds except the normal throttle click. Wait a few minutes, hit the throttle and it works. Then it doesn't. Then it does. Any idea what could cause this? Thanks.

Look hard for loose wires. Start with the on off switch. Make sure all are plugged up. The fuse should be accessible without taking things apart. Water is a major enemy of the solid state box the wires go into before they go to the battery.

SOURCE: The MX500 wont start. The light says the battery

Although you alternator may be charging, the battery may not be accepting the charge or holding it. Have the battery tested under load, but I think that you are going to find you will need to replace it.

Razor MX500, new batteries fully charged, suddenly stopped responding. No power, no click, nothing.

Thoughts -
No/poor connection between power source and motor
Motor failure
Only someone with their hands on the bike can fully diagnose.

My razor mx500 just instantly stopped running when I was riding up a hill, it was on a full charge could it be a blown fuse or multiple blown fuses?

weight always play a role when a rider is going up hill. If the rider is over the weight limit or near the weight limit, the motor works very hard and need more power/electricity from the battery, for which the motor runs hot and the 25 to 30 amp fuse would break, shutting down all power instantly.always check the fuse first when all power is lost before anything else....

I Replaced the charger port on my Razor Mx500 Dirt Rocket and it ran fine and then just stop. The charger still indicates the batteries are charge but no power. Also I went to check the fuses and manu

Well if it's missing fuses obviously it won't run. When you turn it on does the green light on the throttle come on? if you have a voltmeter that would help. Are you sure the charger is good? if so you want to see 39 volts or so across all 3 batteries. Sometimes the switch contacts develop excessive resistance try shorting them with your screwdriver... if it runs you need a switch. can you hear the controller click when you turn the throttle?

How long can the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket be ridden after charged?

Run time depends on a few things, including the weight of the rider, the terrain being riden over and the condition of the bike.
For example, a light rider riding on flat hard packed dirt or paved road with a bike that is in good mechanical condition - tires inflated to correct pressure, chain correctly adjusted/lubed, brakes adjusted, etc. - will have a longer run time than a heavier rider on soft undulating dirt with a bike that has not been maintained.
Generally you should be able get 40-45 minutes out of a new battery.
Check out the trouble shooting guide and user manual if you are getting less than half and hour.

Our Razor MX500 won't run with out giving the motor a little help getting going. We took the motor off and hooked it to a battery charger and it works fine, you put it back on the bike and it won&

remember the motor transfer the power to the front..there no weight on the motor when you take it off..the motor can be going bad/a singnal! most people change the battery without checking the motor for wear..

I can only get about 5 minutes of riding.either the battery or the charger might be broken.i relly dont know what to do.i need help

If you take the battery into a car part store like Schuck's or Napa, they will test the battery for free. They will test it to see if it will hold a charge. If the battery doesn't hold a charge, then the battery needs to be replaced. If the battery holds a charge, then your charger needs to be replaced.
