Craftsman excessive vibration problems 625 series

Did you change the motor drive unit as well or just the part that holds the foil.

They are supposed to vibrate, but it is difficult to quantify 'excessive'. With my Series 5 and my previous model, I have found Braun Service Centres to be excellent at diagnosis and repair.

When you say a 625 series do you mean the engine is a Briggs &stratton 625 series? If so you need to know the machine that you want the cable for

vibration in a walk behind mower is most always a imbalance in the blade , there lots of things that cause this , from loose blade , to bent blades

remove blade and test with blade balance , there not expensive ive seen them with a sharping stone for less than ten dollars before

pull spark plug before you remove blade 4 safety

Tecumseh engines usually recommend SAE 30 oil. Briggs engines allow 5W 30 or 10W 30.

suggest : check spark plug or renew / weak fuel mixture /
insure / air vent hole is clear on fuel tank cap

Try replacing the blade , its most likely bent.

the air and gas mixture is off or the float is sticking or not enough gas getting into carb

horse power not star

check for bearings fault,ie open door and lift inner chrome drum up and down if you feel a knocking feeling or you ear this then its the bearings

check the screw feet, on the front corners, one may be not screwed down far enough to be 'tight' to the floor allowing a small movement that makes a lot of noise, halting under pressure suggests this is the case
