SOURCE: water not going through spray arms

Have same problem except big motor spins independent of stripped? impeller. tried to reassemble but seems mechanical or adhesive agent misssing from one shaft or the other and the motor spins the impeller (now tight) only to have it slip off again and stop pumping water.

Sounds like you need a professional to diagnose the unit for repairs. You are either having a timer issue or a control board communication error.

    Dishes do not get cleaned

Look at the spray arm to see if any of the holes are plugged with calcium build up. Check to see if the arm pivots freely and nothing is blocking it from turning. If all these things look okay, check the filter screen at the bottom of the dish washer to see if it is partially obstructed. You may have to disassemble the filter to see inside it. If all seems ok, then look at a work water pump impeller which will reduce the pressure going to the spray arm.

Water comes out but spray arms don't turn and motor doesn't seem to be runing

Sounds like a bad pump/motor. It is also possible that something hard (like broken glass) got down into the pump impeller, stopping it from turning. Depending on the brand and model, this may be easy or hard to check and clean out.

Slow or no drain of water. cleaned out sump covers and ran drain cleaner thru cycle. looking for possible secondary filter.

Hi, if the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check the drain line and pump..

A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support.
Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them.

When I put detergent in dishwasher and turn it on, it seems to go through the cycles, but when it stops, the detergent is still in the detergent bin and the dishes are not clean.

Assuming the detergent dispenser door does open, it is likely the water is not reaching the top arms. Put a cup in normal position on the top rack and see if there is any water in it at the end of the cycle.

Likely causes are blocked arms or water distributor or the wash impeller is not working in the pump. The dishwasher uses the same pump motor for wash and drain cycles. You can check this by hearing if the water is getting swashed around when the wash cycle is on.
Check the impeller and water feed as shown in this diagram.

    Hope this helps.

Water not going through spray arms

1.does motor run? no. replace motor. 2.open door and leave the bottom rack inside dw.spin the spray arm underneath the bottom rack by hand. it should spin freely without binding. if it doesnt spin freely take out the bottom rack and try again. if it does spin freely then your bottom rack is laying on your sprayarm preventing it from rotating. 3.you could also not be getting enough water into your dw.
