You dont give us the model number of the saw. A quick check found more than 8 electric saws here: Poulan.com http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
An inspection should find somethig that matches.
I opened one of them, item 15, pnPWE530071533, $7.34 each. GL

start saw when cold and work it hard. if it stalls or quits remove spark plug and hook the plug wire to the plug and ground to the cyl head have switch on and pull the start rop briskly a few times or use a test plug. if there is no spark disconnect ign switch from from the ign wires and pull rope a few more times.spark?= replace ign switch,no spark until engine is cool, replace coil.
Sir, Poulan makes a several differant brands of chain saws and may have made this electric one. Try a search for Poulan chainsaws if no one else answers you question. Ask the poulan people about Remington electric saws they would surly know or get back to me here I'll have to have a few days to ask around but seems Ive seen this brand at wal mart.
European power is at 50 CPS too. I wouldn't! It will run at half power, it may overheat, probably not safe. How much value do you place on your life? A new chainsaw (built for 110VAC) is pretty cheap insurance.
