SOURCE: Bios ROM checksum error (Compaq SR5237CL with M2N68-LA MB)

A BIOS checksum error can be caused by a nearly flat BIOS battery.
I would replace the BIOS battery first before attempting to upgrading the BIOS.
Some motherboard BIOS firmware is upgraded by running a program that has been copy to a DOS boot disk or the upgrage maybe done from within the BIOS setup. These firmware upgrage and instructions are on the motherboard WEB site, in your case the Compaq/HP WEB site. Make sure you select the upgrade for your model motherboard.
NOTE it is possible that if you make a mistake you could ruin your motherboard, if you are not sure seek help from a computer savy friend.

SOURCE: Ref GA-81PE1000L Error message on boot up

all the computer bios settings are stored even when the computer is off (like time and fsb)

these are stored due to the help of a cmos battery

when this battery finishes it gives the CMOS Checksum error Default loaded error

all you need to do is replace the cmos cell

it is a mercury cell (looks like a silver coin) and will be placed on your motherboard

it is very very cheap so go buy one and replace it and be happy

SOURCE: Mainboard GA-G31-ES2C Warning: Backup BIOS checksum

If you have reset the CMOS memory you need to go into the BIOS setup screen and reconfigure the BIOS. To do that you need to press a key while the computer is booting. Usually F2 but can be other keys. It should tell you on the bottom of the first screen which key to press to enter BIOS setup.
If you don't know the settings the should be one for optimal defaults - use that one. You will also need to reset the time and date.
Save, Exit and re-boot and everything should then work.
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press delete to enter setup

I need the front panel connections location, which ones go where for the ga-73pvm-s2h motherboard

Gigabyte has the manual for the GA-73PVM-S2H on the product support site: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2691#manual . The full manual is near the bottom of the list. The direct link to the English version of the manual is http://download1.gigabyte.us/Files/Manual/motherboard_manual_ga-73pvm-s2h_e.pdf . The Motherboard Installation Guide at the top of the list is a generic manual for all motherboards.

The front panel connections are shown on page 28 of the manual. There are two lines of pins. From left to right, the inside line of pins are the Power LED +, Power LED -, Power Switch +, Power Switch -, then the Case Speaker +, Case Speaker -. (The speaker - is next to a Case Fan connector; so there are a couple of blank spots between the speaker + and - pins.) On the line of pins at the edge of the board, again from left to right: HD LED +, HD LED -, Reset Switch -, Reset Switch + . There is no contact on the last pin in this group.

I hope this helps.

When sound card connected in PCI slot the comp will hang over and over when i try to install driver of 4 channel tlink card. how i can slove the problem and which card is most suitable with Gigabyte...

This is gigabyte's link for your board, there are 4 different revisions, you can see the different choices at the top. Anyway, you have a PCIe x 16 slot so you could go with a Radeon HD graphics card, ATI has a DVI to HDMI adaptor that works great. Two things, what is make and model of the card you are installing and where are you getting your download from? You may have to dedicate the slot in Bios. Let me know.

After purchasing a new Motherboard, my computer jsut seems to power down after about 20 mins playing games on it. Other than that it is ok.

It definately sounds like a heat issue.

Did you use the thermal paste to heat sink? Make sure your fans are all running. Make sure the heat sink is snapped tight to the processor.

I would suggest a system monitor to detect heat and speed of fans.
