Take it to your local vacuum repair shop to have it diagnosed. Most bagless cleaners are made in China, have poor performance, and short lives. They are built to last one year and die. Your local vac shop can show you some better choices that will work better, last longer, and cost less money than the disposable vacs from big box stores

We lost power this morning due to the cold temp etc. here in dallas and our hot water didn't come back, why?

Check your breaker(s) When the power goes out and is out for a while before it comes back on, sometimes the sudden demand for power can click breakers off. Yo don's say if you are gas or electric. If gas, and you have electronic ignition, you may need to reset the device. If it is electric controlled but has a pilot, the pilot may have gone out - relight it. If it is electric, you may have to check the elements with your volt/ohm meter. Check the contunity of the elements (with the power off of course) and then turn the power on and check the voltage at the elements. They could have burned out (I doubt it but cannot dismiss with out checking)

Hey, we in the North have been cold all winter - don't complain about your cold snap. More seriously, I trust all is well with you and yours during this terrific storm that is sweeping the country.

Thanks for your interest in FixYa.com and come again please.

Intemitant power

Hello,
DO NOT TURN ON THE KIRBY ANYMORE UNTIL YOU GET THIS FIXED!!! (not even to show someone what it sounds like)

Your carbon brushes are worn out and will cause damage to the armature if you run the machine before they are replaced..

You can use my guide for replacing the power switch to break the Kirby down and allow you to get to the carbon brushes to replace them.

Hope this helps,

The carpet brush attachement loses power while vacuuming

I have seen this many times. It is either a bad connection or a break in the wire. Turn it on and flex the wire and connection until you can reproduce it dependably. Then you will know what it is and where.
It is very aggravating. You need to fix it soon, before you take to jumping up and down on it and bust the wand and the power head also.

Losing prime on the pump

When the pump loses prime, you just turn of the unit, turn it back on and wait about a minute before pulling the trigger. The pump establishes prime when you first turn it on, but you need to wait long enough to let it get all the air out.

Vacume cleaner

Check the hose and see if it has a clog, also the hose at the bottom. The filters may be clogged, make sure they are clean and that air flows thru them, if not then replace them.
