How to open drawer

If it is the older type like a computer CD-R, you can gently pry the drawer open with a butter knife. Once open fully it should start closing and ejecting with the button.

Drawer pulls straight out. Use small screwdriver or metal nail file.

Remember the drawer is also 'plugged' into the timer, so do not bend small metal prongs on drawer.

most cd players have a small hole in front under the drawer, with the power off, you need a paper clip and straiten it, slowly slide it in the hole until it bottoms out, once it bottoms out you need to push it slowly until the drawer starts to open, mind you it wont open all the way so you will have to open it the rest of the way manually.

I had a mini system with the same problem, out of guarantee so was either fix it myself or bin it.
I opened the unit and removed the whole cd drawer assembly from it's housing. I then, not really recommended, plugged it back in and by pressing the open/close a few times the drawer finally opened. Put it all back together and it now works fine. I think what had happened is that I use the cd player once every couple of months and combined with the lack of use is the fact that there are several smokers in the living room and basically it got jammed by a build up of nictotine or whatever.

The soap dispenser drawer is supposed to open during the cycle. Try first to understand if the drawer is opening or not during cycle.

If the drawer is not opening, then check if the opening mechanism is stuck, if it is blocked by dirt and soap, if it is broken, or if something, for examble a basket too close to dispenser drawer is preventing the drawer from opening.

Some dishwasher works only with powder, in that case indications are given on the owners manual.

If the drawer opens and the table, or powder is still staying stuck in the drawer, then that means that the spray does not have enough power to solve the tablet.
In that case check spray arms and impeller pump.Also check water temperature.

If the problem is also happening with powder, then it is probably a drawer not opening on cycle.

First off, what is the make \model of your machine so I can help you better. Otherwise, take the cover of the unit off and look to see if you can see any small gears at the front of the drawer. If so use a small screwdriver to turn the gear or gears. The laser assy. will move down first to get out of the way of the drawer then the drawer will slide open.
If you cannot see any gears you must get the drawers' faceplate off. Once off you should be able to see gears or a belt and motor that you spin to get the laser assy. down. Once the laser assy. is down you will be able to slide the drawer out by hand.
Replace belt if there is one. Good Luck!!

Hi, The CD drawer mechanism needs a new belt. They have a motor that drives the tray mechanism, and there's a small belt that drives the main gear so that pushing the drawer in gently to close it doesn't damage anything. However, once that belt breaks/wears out, the drawer will stay in whatever position it was last in.

It sounds as though you have soem nice, well sealed cabinets and a good installation on your cooktop. When you open the drawer. it creates a momentary vacuum that sucks the oxygen away from the cooktop, as the bottom of these are not airtight. The only thing you can do is to open the drawer more slowly or have a vent of some sort installed in the back of the cabinet to let air in as you open the drawers, so it does not suck it from the top.There really isnt anythig wrong per say, it something that happens with most gas cooktops with drawers/ doors below them. Hope this is helpful.
