Drawer pulls straight out. Use small screwdriver or metal nail file.
Copy following link for illustration and CR2 battery, and ez-to-follow programming, and wiring options.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/ST01C-program.html#batteryRemember the drawer is also 'plugged' into the timer, so do not bend small metal prongs on drawer.
This timer comes with 1 year limited warranty against defects in workmanship.
The battery operates timer functions, so once battery is installed, the timer can be programmed before timer is installed in wall.
Be sure to reset timer before programming to eliminate stray code on the memory chip.
Once timer is programmed, the programs remain inside memory chip forever, even with power loss and no battery, until timer is reset of re-programmed.
Reset this timer: Hold down on-off button and momentarily push round reset button with paper clip. Keep holding down on-off until display changes, then release on-off button and begin setting current time and programs.
