If by coolant you mean freon, and if by motor you mean compressor, then no, you can not do it without special equipment. It requires a technician. Usually cheaper to replace the water cooler.

Most vehicles,,,, remove radiator hose off thermostat housing. Remove thermostat housing, if it has a cork gasket scrap off old gasket completely on vehicle and housing, fit new gasket and put back together. Note... One of the coolant hoses or plastic coolant pipe is leaking coolant. You need it repaired and refilled with coolant.

Hi where do you drain coolant from bmw gs800

Onthe front of the motor, just above the starter, there is a small bolt. Remove it to drain the coolant. Replace the copper sealing washer when putting it back.

I replaced a heater hose by the fire wall, it lost some coolant at that time, i replaced the coolant, but after that, it start to overheat and the coolant disapeared, i put coolant in the reservoir tree...

Sad to say but the motor has a blown head gasket. You would need a new head gasket and some tools especially a torque wrench. When removing the head gasket make sure you mark the belt and put it back in the same position. Goodluck.

2000 catera oil is geting in the cooling

If a mechanic putting the coolant back in after arepair didn't do it then the oil cooler connection in the raditor can fail but the head gasket can be leaking too. Check for coolant in the motor oil tooas his will tell about the head gasket. The oil isundermorepresure than the coolant except then the car is shut off after fully warmed. No coolant in the engine oil. Flush the cooling system real good and install just water run the car and look for oil again if it's clean then put new coolant in it and don't ley the last person to work on it since this happened to work on it any more as someone could have added oil to the coolant not knowing about cars well enough or trying to cause problems on purpose.

How do I change the thermostat?

Follow the large hose coming out of the top of the radiator. That should take you to the thermostat housing. You need to place a container under the drain spigot on the radiator and drain a gallon or so of coolant from the radiator so that coolant doesn't run out when you remove the housing. Remove the housing (usually don't need to remove hose) and scrap clean both surfaces of the housing and the block. Take not of the position of the gasket and thermostat you are removing. Replace thermostat, put a small amount of gasket sealing material on both surfaces, put new gasket on and tighten the housing back down. Some engines have a small plug in the housing. You have to remove the plug as you replace coolant back into the motor until you see coolant running out of the hole and then put the plug back in.

Here is a video that show the gist of changing one.
