Some possible scenarios, assuming you are testing from another email account:
- delay in the email server which you are sending the emails from
- mails you are receiving ending up in the spam folder
Simple quick test is to send a test email to yourself from the same gmail account itself.

Check to see if you created a filter by accident which put all your emails in one folder. Also... check if your snap folder is getting all the massage from the sender
.

Gmail spam filter can be beast.

I can't receive my charter email or send charter email out, it goes to my gmail account when I send an email from my charter account it goes to my gmail account. when someone sends email to my charter...

It sounds like your charter account is configured to forward all of your email to gmail. If you cannot change this yourself, contact charter and ask them to remove the forwarding rule.

Good luck

I stopped getting [email protected] 10/24/09 on my gmail account for no reason. Help, this is my work address, I need it badly and don't want to stop using gmail. [email protected]

you mean you no longer receive emails coming from that mail adress ? If so, try to add it to your contacts first.
If the problem is to receive all emails coming to that email and sending emails with that account, go to your gmail parameters than "transfer pop and imap" activate both protocols than go to "accounts and importation" and follow instructions to add that adress to your gmail account "send mails as"
Hope it helps

For some reason when i send emails to my sister, she never gets them. She receives emails from everyone but me. We've checked and double check the address and she still does not recieve my emails. However,...

Your emails (and your email address) is being filtered by the mail server that she is connected to. Your emails may also accidently go to spam or trash folders automatically (outlook will do this). This is especially the case is she has a corporate email (think IBM, HP etc). Try opening a gmail account and sending a simple mail with not much in the subject line.
