I have a Kenmore 80 series model 22852 and first would not drain and makes horrible rattling sound, finally got it to drain, but still making sound and will not spin.

For the slow water issue, you will need to replace the water inlet valve. Here is a link to the part. Could you describe the noise and where it is coming from?
You might have a sock in the pump. It might also be a broken coupler or a combo of the 2. The motor is overheating and shutting down on overload.. Could be a coin or something in that pump.
Check the lid switch under the edge of the top where the lid closes. When you are about 1 inch from closing the lid you should here a little click sound. That is the switch closing. I fyou do not here the click then the switch is bad.
You need to replace the Kenmore Washer Lid Switch. I had the same problem so being lazy I would just push down on the washer's lid and it would push the lid switch further down. making the water drain. after a while I just replaced the lid switch.
