Its a 1000cc i think, and if its been hot wired it will be most likely in the key part of the wiring, Most bikes if you unplug the key wires it will start but have no lights, if you can get me the make and model i can find you a wire diagram and tell you how to hotwire it.

send a buzz on msn ( [email protected] )
thanks.

Bike isnt charging battery

If the battery charged before the "chop job/ignition bypass" and afterward does not, the you have left out a circuit that excites the alternator field. This was most likely part of the original ignition wiring, and you will need a Honda wiring diagram of you bike model and specific year in order to identify the wiring correctly. Otherwise, restore the original ignition wiring and switches, and see if the battery starts charging again. Then work backwards removing only the wiring that you know is not part of the charging system. Through the process of elimination you will discover which wire powers the alternator. It will take time and patience.

Starter relay

have you been riding in the rain? check the start button, for continuity first, before you start digging into other things, sometimes they get stuck or rusty, if you dont have cont. when you push it ,try electrical cleaner ,might help, not a good idea to try to bypass the relay, could do more damage.pull the starter and bench test it,relays seldom fail, but dont rule it out, motorcycle batteries usually only last a couple of years, maybe it died,or the connections are bad

Wont start

Go to www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp You can download a free PDF repair manual there. Normally the manual will have a wiring diagram. Most of the manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language. I checked and your manual is there.

AVIC N2 parking brake bypass

There are two ways to complete this project:

1st

underneath the mounting bracket of the radio not the brain theres a silver sticker like mentioned above there are two silver solder points right beneath the sticker it must be jumped with a wire or you can use the solder to connect the two contact points after this you must still ground the green parking brake wire to the car.

2nd-(also my favorite choice and the one I'm using on my N5 & on my 7800dvd those who know pioneer know what i'm talking about)

buy a ptr7 pheriphial device and wire as follows (they come factory ready to bypass alpine and pioneer units)

wire as follows-white wire to green parking break of the deck your bypassing
red wire to vehicles 12v source
green wire from device to remote
black wire to vehicle ground wire
final important step I know because this happended to me
make sure you take a little screwdriver agfter wiring or something and switch the
PTR 7 to the off position-or else this will make the PTR7 not function correctly
