Try placing the phone in a bag of rice for 2 days or even 7 days.

The Rice should suck up all the moisture and if your lucky it will have no damage and will start up again.

My zte majesty s796c one day was on it & the touch screen went black.The light indicator is on sometimes flashing and makes noise, also the bottom buttons which is the back,home & menu button lights up...
Search for a hard reset ZTE Majesty s796c, follow the instructions. I assume this is a smartphone. If resetting the phone to factory default don't fix it, then you have a hardware problem, probably the Motherboard.

Sounds like a power stand by feature. Try entering the settings of the device and inspecting its current power save feature. You will likely need to adjust it to start power saving at a longer period or turn the feature off all together. I'm not completely familiar with that device but that sounds like the problem.
