Craftsman 21.0 hp electric start auto transmission stopped mid mow and won't start. Battery is charged. Turn key and hear solid click with starter but engine won't move.
Did it leak oil & seize up
Can you turn it over by hand
Is a belt or bearing preventing the motor
from turning?
SOURCE: lawn tractor won't stay running if clutch is released.
There is an operator presence switch under the seat...it is more than likely faulty and must be replaced in order for the mower to run right.
SOURCE: Starter energizes, won't turn engine.
your battery is in a weak state also the solenoid is shorting out replace the solenoid

Try checking the water in the battery and see if the connections are clean. This requires removing the ends and sanding them. Also check oil level in the motor just in case. Then charge the battery or jump-start it, if it starts then you have a weak battery or an alternator that is bad or a loose wire, the nuts will vibrate off if blades are out of balance. Also check the starter bolts as they may have come loose as well. If you still need help replay tothe e-mial this came with.

sounds like you have a little rust on the very top of the piston. try this take the plug out and spray a little wd-40 in the hole(just a little) and pull the starter rope until the piston frees up(turn key to engage the starter if no rope) then trplace the plug and try to start it up...good luck

Replace the battery. Even though the battery may say it's good, it doesn't have enough of cranking amps. Go purchase a battery with 350 cranking amps. This will fix your problem. The battery power isn't enough to kick the starter completely up to turn the engine.
