My LG dishwasher shows a faukt, EI is this the same as LE

that fault means there is a leak in the dishwasher and the water is setting off the flood switch in the base of the unit, if you pull the unit out from its cavity and tilt it backwards (not forwards) on a sharp angle you should get a big puddle of water run out of the base which means something is leaking inside the dishwasher and will require further investigating, if you dont get any water run out the problem will be that the motor is overheating and will need to be replaced (dont ask me why this error can mean two completely different things, i guess they felt like giving us a challenge)

I have a LG LDF7810 WW. The bottom rack does not come clean any more. I pulled the sprayer arm and checked as manual suggested. Anything else?

Could be a bad VIRO motor. It moves a valve to change water flow between bottom spray arm and top spay arm about every 2 minutes of the wash cycle. You have to pull the dishwasher and lay it on it's back or side to change it, but you only need a phillips screwdriver.

Water heater no go.

The heating element is turned on first during the main wash cycle, which could be approximately 10 minutes in. Since this error is coming up, the first thing to check/replace is the heating element.

I am only familiar with the LDF family of LG dishwashers and on them, to get to the heating element, you pull the dishwasher, invert the entire DW and remove the access panel.

Good Luck, please post back here what you find, OK?

Dishwasher will not go into wash cycle.

On the LG LDF6810 dishwasher, the best you can do is remove the bottom spray arm and then the 10 phillips screws that hold the filter down.
Pull the filter out and clean it as best you can.
Inspect the sump area beneath where the filter was. Be careful of broken glass and remove all debris. Use a flashlight and look into every little spot down there. Reassemble the dishwasher and operate your DW.
If you still have problems, I recommend a service call. Check your manual to confirm but most LG dishwashers have a 1 year parts & labor plus a 2 year parts only. Have your proof of purchase ready.

LG dishwasher ld14aw2 error

Did the owner of the LG LD-14aw2 that was giving the OE error get the problem resolved?
With an OE (Drain Error), it means that the dishwasher is not fully drained out in spite of 5 min. drain operation. First step of the trace the entire path of the drain hose to the sink drain. Be certain that ther is no blockage in any of it.
It that does not resolve the problem, remove the lower spray arm and the screws that hold the sump area down. Open up the area and inspect everywhere for debris that could be blocking the drain area.
Next step would be to replace the drain motor.
With the LG dishwasher that is giving an IE error: Double check that the water valve supplying the dishwasher is fully open. Next, with the water turned off, open the connection between the inlet pipe (hot water) and the dishwasher inlet valve. Clean the screen of all debris/minerals that often build up there.
If problems continue, check and replace the inlet valve.
Thanks for reporting back what you have found. Good Luck!

Ldf6920 whistles and chirps the water valve adjustment doesnt fix

Hi,

This can be 1 or 3 things.
In theis machine your inlet valve is protected by a filter. When the inlet filter is clogged by limescale it will whistle like crazy.
That is one
2 the inlet valve can be defective ( number M210) in the sites I will provide.
3 the seal of the airbraker can be leaking.

HERE is service manual of the LDF6810 which is actually more or less the same machine.

HERE you can see similar drawing +parts list so you can order

Good luck

Dishwasher LG mod, LD - 2031SH guaranty expired

you have to pull the dishwasher out from the opening to access the pump.sounds like a possible seal in the pump, leaking supply line, or where the water drain is at the pump.the problem with lg is you only can get parts from lg.com...i would pull out the dishwasher and while it's out,try to run it to isolate the leak.good luck
