SOURCE: Black ink?

Get a water soaked rag or paper towl (not damp but soaked in water) and sitting and dabbing the bottom of the cartridge on the soaked towl until a good flow of ink comes out then wipe as well as you can dry with a dry towl and put back into printer, this should recover ink flow and get it to print, but don't expect it to work perfectly on the first print so try to print a few times and printing should steadly improve. Looks like you haven't used your printer for a while.

SOURCE: 5500 WON'T PRINT BLACK INK

It sounds like the print head is not functioning. If you have taken it out and cleaned it already (the print head) and it still doesn't work you will have to call kodak to request a new print head. They will ship one to you free of charge. If you let them know about how much ink you have wasted from cleaning they will also send you new ink cartridges. They may ask you to perform all the steps from the troubleshooting guides again, just do it again. They seem to follow a script when calling for support so just humor them by doing the same things you have already done a dozen times.
Kodak needs to start selling the print heads at Best Buy right next to the ink cartridges! It seems like tons of people have had the same issues with the print heads.

Hi, I have a HP Laser Jet 5200dtn and it prints black page only. all black. put a new toner but no help.

That must be the Lazer assembly has a problem. If you can find a replacement your problem will go. Probably something is blocking it completely.

Hp Officejet 6000 not printing black ink, I have replaced ink cartridges, checked contacts, cleaned print heads, still not working

Try taking out the printhead and let it soak in "window cleaning" solution overnight or for about 8 hours. It should unclog the printhead nozzle. Put it in about half inch of the solution. It always worked for me. Make sure you wipe it dry un the back of the printhead when putting back into the printer.

How do i remove the print head from hp office jet 4620

remove all the inks and look for a release lever might be grey in color or black lift the lever and remove/lift the print head assembly from printer... your inks sit directly on top of the print head assembly

I installed a new hp 920 black ink cartridge in my HP 6000 wireless office jet printer. It still acts like there is no ink and will not print. What should I try?

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

I have an hp psc 1215 all-in-one. My black cartridge won't print. It recognises if I swap it out for a new one, and goes through all the motions. It registers the correct ink levels. The cradle...

The problem is not with the ink-cartridges. You've proved that, by swapping BLACK cartridges.

The problem is that the ink-jets that spray the BLACK ink onto the paper are clogged.
Thus, no BLACK ink reaches the paper.

Open the HP Printing Assistant, and open Utilities, and run a few "print-head-cleaning" cycles, to try to unclog the print-head.

How to refill hp 920 cratridges for office jet 6000

Don't waste your time and money.

Use only factory new ink cartridges from HP.

Apart from voiding any warranty that may be left on the printer, you can end up replacing print heads and getting very poor quality images from your printer.

Printer does not print in color

I have the 4315, so I am not sure if the answer is exactly the same. But there is a setting, for only printing in black ink and you need to disable it. Here is how to get to that setting: Go to
"File" "Print" "Properties" "color" UNCLICK "Greyscale" and unclick "Black cartridge only."
