Caps lock only displayed when logging on and no other times after that. Can you tell me how to activate caps lock indicator.

There is a key - Like Caps Lock - that activates the numpad, called Num Lock, and indicates that activation with light.


If not activated, the numpad will act as arrow keys.

I believe the Light with the "A" above it is the caps lock indicator. This tells you if caps lock is activated or not. When it lights up as you turn it off or on, it is just booting.

It depends on the keyboard model. Some have a number lock indicator light. There is no standard for location, either. The most common place for Caps lock, number lock, etc. on a desktop keyboard is behind the number key pad. However, some keyboards put the caps lock indicator right in the Caps lock key. There's probably at least one model that does the same for number lock. Many laptop models have no indicator, or a tiny one set somewhere in back bezel.

Some operating systems and applications have an option for displaying the status in the menu bar. If you can't find the number lock status indicator, you may have to resort to observing the behavior of the system when you hit a key on the number pad. If number lock is off, the even numbers (not including 0) will be arrow keys and the odd numbers will be page navigation keys.

I have the same keyboard and it does not have a caps lock lamp.
The only way of knowing if the caps lock is on is to type something in a text window although some websites will tell you if your caps lock is on as this can cause errors when entering passwords etc.

the internet. please check also your username name and your password and the caps lock button is activated..

Has the keyboard been deactivated on your wife's account.
Go into control pane and check.

All keyboards have 3 lights above the number pad on the right hand side.
Middle light is for Caps Lock.
On laptops the light might be on the Caps Lock key itself.
Sometimes when you press the key, check the bottom right hand side of your screen and it may tell you that Cap Lock is On/Off
