SOURCE: i have a hotpoint fridge freezer model ff92ys the

The thermistor has probably failed. I had the same problem with my FF92s fridge/freezer. I replaced the thermistor and hey presto it works again.
The thermistor is loacted behind a removable panel inside the freezer section of the fridge/freezer. You also have to remove a polystyrene cover and a further metal cover to get tp the thermistor. Pull the metal cover from the left as it has wires attached to it on the right hand side. The thermistor is available to buy online, just google it.

Fridge part working freezer not

The fridge is just the end of the freezer evaporator. If the freezer isn't cold inside, check the rear panel. It is probably frozen solid with no air getting through. Switch off, leave doors open for 24 hours and be prepared for lots of water to come out. Clean the condenser and make sure the fan inside is ok. Reset the thermostat to middle of the range and be sure to come back to tell us how you get on.

I woke up one morning and the fridge is not working but the freezer is working great. The fridge does not want to get any cooler than it used to be, it is not keeping our products cold. My fridge freezer...

the damper vent door between the freezer and fridge has stuck shut due to being frozen, you need to remove the freezer wall on the inside rear area to see if this door is shut and try to get it to move, also make sure the evaporator fan is running too so air gets moved from the freezer to the frideg

Bottom freezer not working

Hi, sorry I do not have any advice to offer. We have the same model. Three weeks ago the red light came on and freezer stopped working. Last week the fridge packed up. We may have been unlucky but I thought it might be worth mentioning incase they were related and your fridge gave up as well.

Hotpoint Mistral Frost Free Fridge freezer - fridge not getting cold

We have just had to call out an engineer to get our 1 1/2 year old Hotpoint Graphite Frost Free Fridge Freezer repaired. The fridge had almost entitely stopped cooling even when on high. I was amazed at how easily the problem was sorted. The engineer removed all the basktes from the freezer to access the screws on the inside backpanel of the freezer. Once this panel was removed it was clear that the so called Frost Free doesn't really mean what it says. The ice need to be melted with a bit of simple care. It is obvious that with a bit of care it is easliy a diy job BUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND READ THE NEXT PART BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO REMOVE THE ICE> The ice forms around variouys pipes etc and he usecd a screwdriver to help release the ice quicker than waiting for it to defrost and he also used a simple hairdryer to help speed up the process. He had a ntowel and a basin to take care of the water. Next time I would have no problem doing this myself but I would need to leave it a little while to defrost and NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER as I am sure somehow I would puncture a pipe or the wall of the freezer itself and I am quite used to doing the odd bit of DIY. On a difficulkty scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being difficult I would rate the job as about a 3. Hope this helps anyone who reads this about £70.

Fan not working on fridge section of Hotpoint Fridge Freezer Model FFA90

the problem is there is a build up of ice insid of the freezer .
What you need to do is take out all your draws in the freezer and you will see a plastic backing held on with about 8 screws . undo all the screws and the back should come aay and you will see all the ice built up . just use a hair drier to melt the ice and that should cure your problem.

FFA60 Hotpoint fridge/freezer Red warning light

if i read the english right, the compressor runs but the freezer fan only runs for a short time. no fan then no cooling. there is a fan stat so that the fan only runs when the evap is down to temp. this may be faulty. also on some hotpoint, the fan switches off when door opened. check door switch operating ok. this may also explain problem with fridge lamp
