Hope someone can help. My Samsung tv keeps turning itself off and on again, but only on one channel. Happens every ten seconds or so, shut down and turns back on again. It has happened out of nowhere. I have retuned, turned it off and on again, unplugged it, all with no success.

Hi. Talk a look at this video and see if it helps. I was surprised that this problem is somewhat common with Samsung TVs. If this does not solve your issue, there are several other videos that provide solutions.

SOURCE: Turns itself off

Sharp LC-13AV4U - turn it on and in ten seconds it turns off.
Happens every time.
Any Ideas?

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
This is NOT a fix, this is a permanent band-aid.
All you need is a phillips head and tiny diagonal cutters....
Heck, even a nail clipper would do it.
Just disable that faulty protection shut-down circuit!
Remove all the screws from the back cover
and look at the main board with the
unplugged! power cord towards you.
In the upper right corner of the board, you will find
a tiny red-striped zener diode, labeled as D409.
It is to the right of an electrolytic capacitor marked C403.
Snip this diode, at either end, or snip both ends and discard it.
Re-assemble the TV.....and you just got your tv back!.
I only run mine when I am sitting in front of it,
I never leave it running unattended....just in case!
Don't blame me it yours burns up....but mine is just fine.
The Robot Doctor.

Same here!

Here is what you can try to do, Remove the batteries, don't plug in the ac adapter. Press and hold the power button for ten (10) seconds then release it. plug in the ac adapter on the computer without the battery, try to turn it on. If it turns on just wait for it to load then shut it down again, if it doesnt still have the display, press and hold the power button for ten seconds to shut it down. Unplug the ac adapter put the battery in and then try to turn it on, if it doesnt have a display still, there might be something wrong with the video cable, you need to have someone do it for you. If it happens that it turns on and have display it means that you need to have your ac adapter checked. if it happens the it turns on and have a display without the battery only, you need to have your battery checked. Hope this helps

HP Pavilion MD5020N 50 in. HDTV DLP TV keeps shutting down

ok this is what you do folks.... un-plug the tv from the power supply. once that is done hold the power button down on the side of the television for 30 seconds. this will release all electricity out of the tv.... then before you plug it back in hold the channel down vol up button along with the power button at the side on the tv this should reset the tv and it will start up automatically on video one. Select your source and scan for your cable channels again. If the problem is not solved then contact someone to come and clean the filter for the tv because it may be clogged along with this it can be the color wheel and may shut itself off like 3 times until it feels it is right.
