The limit does not depend on the actual number of PC's that can be connected to a UPS. The limit is based on the total power consumption required by the PCs and the power supply rating of the UPS device.
You can add the power consumption of all the PCs based on the number of watts (or amps) listed on a label on the back or side of each PC and compare it to the maximum load specified for the UPS unit.

I have had the same issues with my HP dv6208 laptop. I ended up sending my laptop in at their expense to get it fixed. My suggestion to you is to go to the HP support website and chat or call them. The dv6000 series laptops had several issues with the MB and wireless card. they should replace the failed part for free even if the laptop is past its regular warranty. HP extended the warranties on several of these laptops in this product line because of the failures. You have to tell them the serial number, product number and model and they tell you wether it is covered or not. Otherwise I am pretty sure you are looking at a new motherboard for your laptop. The usb port isn't in your cash register. Your cash register has a serial port that should look like this:
You should have a cable that has a USB connector at one end and a port that will accomodate a cable like pictured above.

Well, actually those 600c's do have a crossover. It's encapsulated in the wiring you got with the components. Your head unit or amp speaker outputs connect directly to the woofers. The inline crossovers have a 12" wire on one end and a 22" wire on the other end. Connect the 22" side to the 2nd set of terminals on the woofers, and the 12" side to your tweeters, keeping all of the positives and negatives straight.
