Hi, Ifwhat you are getting is frost, remove the rear panel again and locate the defrost heater. There will be two wires going to it and it is fastened to the bottom of the evaporator coil.Remove the two phillips screws holding the heater and pull it out to remove the wires. Check the element for continuity. If there is no continuity on the element, replace it. If the element shows ok, locate the bi-metal switch that is fastened at the top of the evaporator coil. Test it and make sure it has continuity. NOTE: the bi-metal must be tested while it is cold.
The most common problem with this model is the defrost heater.

Thank you Vic, it was the defrost heater. I called GE and they have the heater for 99$ included labor; it's a special deal for this particular model, the rep told me. Thank you fixya, one more problem fixed.
