I loaded my washer (heavy duty top load) Kenmore 70 series and it filled with water but has not done any washing. Does't matter what cycle it just doesn't work. what can I do?
If washer is newer model say 2-3 yrs old lid switch is behind left hing and almost impossible to get too from under top need to raise console raise lid and lower slowly to ck for click id no click ck hinge for loose screws also hinge may not be pressing switch far enough raise lid and from underneath push toward back on lower part of hinge slightly
Sounds like a bad drive coupler
I am assuming there is no noise coming from the machine, if not check the lid switch. open the lid and look for a small slot in the top of the washer. With the washer set to run, press down on the slot with a screwdriver or something (make sure everything is clear from the tub) see if there is a clicking sound when you push down. If the machine starts you need a depressor piece on the door. if there is no clicking sound you may need something else. lets start with the simplest, like the door switch and go from there.
