SOURCE: lp conversion for LG dryer
After removing the three screws which pass through the L bracket into the back of the dryer:
Stand in front of the dryer and (using the palms of your hands) give the top a sharp push back on the dryer top at the left and right side of the top. The top should slide back 1 to 2 inches. Now lift the top off.
If you post again with further questions, make sure to post under the model number you have. (you posted using a combo washer / dryer, and stated you are converting to LP, which combo units are not gas.)

We had the OE message come up and did the above procedures...that didn't fix it. I removed the dual pump modules (they come off in one piece...one is the recirculating pump, the other is the drain pump). Turns out, the drain pump impeller design sucks. Even though it turned when I put power to the pump, that doesn't mean your pump isn't bad. Once it is under load pumping water, the impeller can slip where the pin connects to it from the motor. We replaced the motor for $60 and that fixed the problem. Our unit is at least three years old and we have a family of four, so it does get used quite often. Nobody told us about the filter at the bottom of the unit and I figure if we knew this ahead of time, we probably could have avoided the impeller issue...but it is still a sub-par designed motor/impeller. The new one I ordered looks like an updated design so I don't see this happening again. It is quite easy to remove and replace the pump, btw.

Hiya,
most machines now open from the back you will find 2 or 3 screws/bolts at the top holding on the top section if you un screw those then slide the top back slightly it should unclip allowing you to take off the top this should expose some more screws or bolts that will be holding on the front & sides, if your machine is leaking from the front you could have a leaky door seal too so you may want to check that before starting to take it apart.
Hope this helps

Yes, it can be used, but the fastening system for pedistal to washer is much better with the new pedistals.
