  • Open Browser app.
  • If you're in incognito mode, tap the Thumbnails of active browser windows iconHow to remove or disable incognito mode on stock - new+window+icon.jpg.
  • Here you should see the plus (+) icon and the Incognito iconHow to remove or disable incognito mode on stock - incognito+icon.jpg/images/incognito+icon.jpg" alt="incognito+icon.jpg" class="h_mi" />.
  • Find the incognito tab that's open, then tap the Red minus button on the top right of the tab to get back to the regular mode.
  • Tap the Bookmark icon .
  • You can choose to tap either the History or Saved pages.
  • Tap and hold an entry from the list to get the pop up menu.
  • Tap Set as homepage to assign the selected entry as the new homepage.
  • Now, try to close the app then open it again.
  • The browser will load the new homepage in a regular mode.

    "For times when you want to browse in stealth mode, for example, to plan surprises like gifts or birthdays, Google Chrome offers the incognito browsing mode. Webpages that you open and files downloaded while you are incognito won't be logged in your browsing and download histories; all new cookies are deleted after you close the incognito window. You can browse normally and in incognito mode at the same time by using separate windows.
    Browsing in incognito mode only keeps Google Chrome from storing information about the websites you've visited. The websites you visit may still have records of your visit. Any files saved to your computer will still remain on your computer."
    Hence it an option to maintain privacy..the same feature is included in IE8(beta)

    Hi,
    in order to enter "Incognito mode" simply use the following shortcut:
    Ctrl + Shift + N

    Or use the main menu of Google Chrome:
    It's exactly to the right of the Address Bar, where you enter website addresses. It's icon represents 3 grey vertical lines.
    When you click on it select the 3rd option - "New incognito window".
