Problem: Icemaker is not making ice suddenly (everything else is normal)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have performed the following diagnoses but no change. Please advice. Thanks
Water supply line valve “on”
Water dispenser is working
Icemaker “on”, the compartment is cold and free of obstruction, no water filled
Air flows between freezer/refrigerator
Water inlet valve with double outlet (Part# 4389177)
Ice-side tested 227 ohms
Waterside tested 345 ohms
Thaw water tube with hair dryer heat (not frozen / block)
What else can be done?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Ice maker stopped working???
water valve or icemaker or make sure freezer is freezing check see if you have frost build up
SOURCE: Water not going into icemaker. Water dispenser works fine.
Check the water valve at the back of the fridge if present.
Even if you used blowdryer, ensure that linse are not frozen by performing a complete defrost.
Disconnect water lines from icemaker, and blow with compressor if the above did not work.
SOURCE: Trouble with ice-maker
Either the inlet valve is stuck or the icemaker solenoid is shored.
Most likely the second one.

Hi: Usually if the ice maker malfunctions that bad it will keep running and flood bad. If your defrost drain is plugged it will puddle water. Without knowing how much water you see it is tough for me to say precisely. Does the ice bin have a big block of solid ice or cubes? If cubes I would guess it is the defrost drain at the bottom of the fridge. If the drain is clogged the water wont get to the pan to evaporate. If the defrost water has nowhere to go it will puddle. This would produce more water on the floor in a humid area than a desert like I live in. If so look at the bottom of the freezer in the back below the metal panel. Usually there are slots above it. There will be a hole at the bottom of a shallow rectangular funnel. Turn off the fridge and put your food in a cooler. Pour some warm clorox water in the hole, a fairly strong solution. It should eat out the mold that grows in the base of this non refrigerated line. If something like a frozen pea got in the line you might have to use a pipe cleaner to snake it out. Good luck with this, Jeff
Hi friend, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that you are having difficulty with the temperature settings on your Frigidaire refrigerator. Depending on your refrigerator style on a top mount there should be a cold control on the inside of the fresh food side that would be used to adjust your temperature. On a side by side or French door bottom mount the temperature control is located on the front control panel. Typically, as a "+" or "-" symbol to adjust the temperature. If any adjustments are made to the temperature, please allow 24 hours for the temperature to set properly. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt
