Power button stuck in off position on Dell Flat screen Monitor

My power button on my Dell Flat screen monitor is also stuck in the off position. The other buttons on the monitor can be pressed, but it seems like the power button cannot. Is there a way that this can be fixed or do I need to replace the monitor?

Thank you for attempting to help me out!

The button doesn't move much, but you can wiggle it a little. It kind of seems like someone pushed it too hard and now it's stuck. I'm not sure of the model off-hand, but I purchased in back in September of 2006 from Dell.

Does the button move at all? What model LCD is it? Most of the time if the monitor does not power up it is the power supply inside the monitor not the button sticking. The power supply can be repaired if that is the problem. Please let me about the movement on the power button and I can help you get back going with your monitor.

My monitor, some how got stuck in an odd position, and now it won't move back to its original position.

Hit menu button on the screen located three buttons left of the power button. Select Auto Adjust. The display will automatically adjust the screen to the centre. If your display is like mine, you may have to repeat these steps several, several times to correct the problem.

Dell Monitor is stuck in power save mode. tried

Hmmm...Stuck in power save. I guess when you push the power button, the monitor says power save, then blanks to power save, no matter if the Computer is on or not.
This means the monitor does not see any signal from the computer. I would suspect the computer first. Try a different monitor (borrow one).
If the size of the monitor picture is too high and the monitor is an older LCD, you may have set the image size too high (1280x1024 will not work with this monitor and it will do this very thing).
A broken or damaged connector cable to the monitor can also cause this. Was the monitor unplugged from the computer just before this problem?

Power button stuck in on position on my dell 2408wfp

Dear User,

The front buttons on the plastic body of your device, are meant for just 'Touch Type Operations'. They may result in malfunction, if used forcefully.
As in your case, it is stuck in it's position. Now you may try to take it out by slightly beating the outer front near the button ("Slightly"). or you can use anything with sharp tip as a needle to get the button out from its position.

If everything else fails, you need to get it to the nearest repair center. As it needs to be unscrewed.

Thanks

Dell 17inch flat screen monitor will not remain on, the screen go

If your Dell monitor still under into warranty, better to call Dell technical support and have them replace your monitor coz there is no way you can fix on it.

If the monitor is beyond with the warranty already, better to but a new one than taking it repair that will cost you much.

Thank you.

Dell E173FPc monitor. Screen is black, power button color cycles

Hi,
First, verify the monitor is functional.
Monitor STFC (Self Test Feature Check)
Turn off the monitor
Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket to remove any
surge protectors or APCs from the troubleshooting equation
Unplug the monitor video cable from the back of the computer
Turn on the monitor
The floating dialog box should appear on screen against a black background.
If the issue appears during the STFC, the monitor is defective.
What are the results please?
