My dryer smells like sulfur . The clothes smell fine. It could be the smell is coming from the washer, I'm not sure
Smells like sulfur, or does it smell "fishy?" We had the same problem with our old Kenmore dryer and it ended up being the power cord. After my husband removed it, it was proven the smell came from it as it has started melting. So he went to Home Depot and got a new 3-prong power cord and replaced it. A $13.00 fix! BTW: Clean the lint holder and tube while you have the dryer out. You can get brushes for this at Lowe's.
Run a couple of hot washes with no clothes in the machine
Before you do dissolve some Soda Crystals in 2 liters of hot water and put them into the machine by hand.
Your machine smells because new powders wash at lower settings and do not contain bleaches and soda to kill off the grease which is washed off the clothes
The fresher the laundry is going into the dryer the less chance it has of smelling.
Do you use a softrinse product?
All a dryer is composed of is a drum, a motor and a heating element none of which can give off a gas (Suphurated Hydrogen).
To get that smell you need fat and other organic material to break down and decompose.(Or a husband that drinks a lot of beer)
I would start at the washer, with the suggested method and would leave both washer and dryer doors slightly open to allow airflow when they are not in use

Do you think that is why the dryer smells sulfur-like?
