How do you change the batteries on a furreal cat? Pull back the plush flap on the bottom of the Cat. Use a Phillips/cross head screwdriver to loosen screw in battery compartment cover (screw stays attached to cover) on the bottom. Insert 3 x 1.5V "C"/LR14 alkaline batteries. Replace cover and tighten screw.

Try ebay people always sell spare parts.

You have to clean the contacts that touch the battery with a metal screwdriver, rub them until the metal shines.

Try ebay sometimes they sell speare parts. It is a common thing to loose unfortunately.

the try me switch is just a Demo so you don't get as many features as in the on position

If you replaced the batteries, and there is no plastic piece in between the battery and the terminal to keep it from sucking battery juice while on the store shelf, then I would think that the toy is broken, and you should try to exchange it for another one.

Suggest checking eBay or Craigslist.

Sounds like you need to reset it. If you need help finding the reset button, go to www.hasbro.com and click on Customer Service, then click on Instructions and find your toy to pull up the PDF file of the instructions. Hope that helps!
