Motor shutters and trips breaker

The rectifier is in the top end of the motor. Take the cover off and then the top end plate of the motor. With the bolts removed, you will have to tap and rock the plate to evenly remove it. Carefully look at the marks on the old and new part to be shur you do not make a mistake in the wiring. A drawing and photo might be nice too.

White =neutral
Black or Red both = hot
Green = ground

Likely normal operation.

Switch or wiring. Confirm electric comign to the the motor with a voltmeter.

Air traped inside carburator or lines.

My swing scrub was acting like that from a loose wire at the capacitor... it is after all a capacitor start induction run motor.
