How do you get rivets out to replace element?

I am not sure what I am looking at, but rivets are normally drilled out. Then replaced with new ones. Make sure the element is replaceable before you do anything. You can get instructions from the place you buy your part. Good luck!

Only the side elements are working on the toaster. The middle elements which would toast one side of a slice of bread are not working. Is it possible to repair/replace the middle elements?

Maybe. Unplug the toaster and remove the bottom plate as you would for cleaning. look for the wires connected to the middle elements and see if one has become disconnected or broken. If one or more of the connections to the middle element is a quick disconnect type (click link for a picture),
https://s16-us2.ixquick.com/cgi-bin/serveimage?url=http%3A%2F%2Fts4.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DJN.EnzjOARZwnQZZjF7oGU2Dw%26pid%3D15.1%26f%3D1&sp=5dc5e8fde9f2f3462b6483c20bb42f01 then inspect it for overheating, oxidation or corrosion. You may be able to clean it up with a Scotch-brite metal polishing pad.

On my toaster, the connections to the heater elements are metal strips riveted to tabs from the element assemblies. One strip is riveted to the power neutral; the other has a quick disconnect tab for a wire from the thermostat. A loose or broken rivet could be the problem, but do not use an aluminum pop rivet to repair it. It can't take the heat, even if you could find one small enough.

I've seen toaster heater elements evaporate over the years - they get a hot spot, which burns off metal, making it thinner and hotter until finally there's nothing left there. At that point the element is gone. I suppose if you could find nichrome ribbon wire of the same width and thickness as the original, you could rebuild the heating element plate, but it would be a delicate task because the mica insulating material is fragile. It's probably more practical to scavenge a working heater assembly from another toaster of similar design, if the electrical connections are serviceable with the tools you have.

Unless this is a very fancy unit, it's probably cheaper and easier to scrap it out and replace the whole thing.

How do I repair detached incase wiring

Heating element connections r riveted together - u can't solder them as it would melt when running.
If the wire detached at the element it is near impossible to reattach it.
U would have to remove the rivet and replace it with the wires connected. My experience is that the mica that it is attached to is too fragile to get the ribvet removed.

Replacing the riveted clearance lights on a 1991 holiday rambler motorhome?

Grind the top of the rivets off, then with a small punch and hammer tap the rivet into the hole.

Flavel milano e60 how to fit new fan oven element that is riveted

That is complete RUBBISH the screws are accessible from the rear of the oven. At the back remove the screws holding the plate and you will see the element housing. Remove the two screws and the spade connections. Get someone to hold the new element in place for you and attached the screws. Fiddly job so be patient. Connect the spade connections and replace all plates front and rear. Should be the job!!! Someone hold the element in the cooker whilst someone connects at the back. Whatever you do, DON'T TAKE A DRILL TO YOUR COOKER!!

Cant figure out how to remove old window rail screws to replace window

There most likely quarter inch rivets. I have a 2000 taurus and had to replace to windows they were put in with two rivets each. The easiest way to get them out is to use a 1/8 or 3/16 drill bit and drill them out. If you don't have a rivet gun just go and buy 1 inch long 1/4 bolts with a washer on each side and they will fit perfect in the existing holes.

I need to remove the oven element. the plate that holds it appears to be riveted in place not screwed, unless screws are just worn (17 year old premier chef coordinate series).

These are screws you see. They are oxidized and the slots in the head are probably gone. Best approach is to spray with Pam (or equivalent) cooking oil, then use vise grips to remove the screws.
