I have a Bosch Nexxt wfmc 3200UC washer that will not drain.

I started to follow the instructions below, but when I unscrewed the first cap with the wings to check the drain trap, only the top black cover came off. There is still a white plug in the tube and no apparent way to remove it. Suggestions for a next step?

In order to unlock the door on this machine you must first turn the cycle knob to a cycle that was different than the one you were on. The machine should then reset and the door should unlock.

SOURCE: My Bosch MOdel WFMC 3200UC washer won't spin or

Hello,

You haven`t mentioned whether you`ve checked the pump or not and obstructions and debris in Bosch pumps is very common, so I`ll assume you didn`t and explain how you can do it yourself.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

  1. Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, I can't say, I'd guess you could get wet. ( unless you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
  2. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner)
  3. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
  4. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful or wear chain-mail gloves).
  5. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan ) There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out.
  6. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.
  7. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.
  8. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.
Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

SOURCE: i have an error 13

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I'm presuming that is the actual filter itself. Had the same problem with our Bosch, cap would not even turn!
Suggestions-
pour anticalc/limescale fluid into any gap there is around the cap. Empty the machine and you can switch it off providing the door is open! Then pour the contents of at least 2 sachets of proprietary anticalc powder/liquid into the drum direct together with a kettle full of boiling water. Leave overnight at the very least. The following day run just a spin cycle as then there will be no water diluting the mix. This mix will go through the filter and motor and is likely to help release the filter/cap. If you feel like it, do the overnight again. If nothing else it will ensure that the heater element is clean!
I had to spend a couple of hours gently turning the cap back and forth until it finally released its hold- but the filter did not remain attached to the cap by its rubber ring. More patience, anticalc fluid and all was revealed!
I now run an anticalc clean regularly............which reminds me..............!
Good luck

Bosch E13 error on washer - shows e-13 and door will not open.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

E13 error in your Bosch WFMC washer is a drain error and is displayed when the drain time exceeds & the washer is unable to drain so the door won't open sometimes when this error is displayed. You will have to clean the drain trap in the bottom right hand corner. You can stick a straighten paper clip in the access panel located inside the front bottom panel through the whole and then turn the access panel counter clockwise to unscrew the plastic drain cap behind it. After everything is cleaned and the error returns then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Bosch 100 series will not drain

You need to check and clean the pump filter if you have not already done so.
This is located at the bottom front right of washer.
Unscrew anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

Further on the solution provided on Oct. 28th.

The circular cover is on the front, below the door on the 3200UC. Use an unfolded large paper clip or in my case a large safety pin and push in where there is a small hole. Rotate the cover slightly and it opens. Once you get that open, there is a valve to unscrew. Be sure to have towels or sponges around as this will drain what ever water is left in the drum. Unscrew the cover only a little until water starts to leak out. Once it's drained, remove the valve cover completely. There is then another white plastic piece that you can gently pry out with a flat head screw driver. Once that's out, you'll be at the main drain. In my case there was an infant sock blocking the drain. I removed that and the machine works like a charm again.

Hope the details help a bit. Thanks for the original solution!
