NOT NETFLIX OR VUDU
Look up the program called playon. I have been using it for 3 years and its pretty good. You need at least a high DSL speed, cable modem is great. You also need a decent computer, although I bought a acer notebook from walmart for $250 as a dedicated playon server and it worked well. And finally you need a DNLA compatible player to connect to your tv. Some TVs have this built in if it is able to be put on the home network. PS3 ,360, Wii are all able to fine DNLA servers on the network. Sony made a bluray that was also able to find DNLA servers and that is what I use. However the new PS4 I've read is not DNLA capable, so newer sony bluray may not also. Basically playon collectes videos from free sites and logs them. You pull up the playon server on the TV with whatever device you are using to connect it to the tv. Now just scroll through the all of them until you get what you are looking for, click and it plays.
