The buttons should tell you what to do, they are all made be same people just take a few minutes to play with it. Normally set temp you want, or set time you want, pretty easy

Highest temperature for Oneida 31161 digital thermometer

The best information I could find was that the absolute maximum is 392 F (200 C). Exceeding this temperature will likely ruin the temperature probe.

I have a remote meat thermometer unit. I don't have the sensing tip that goes into the meat. How can I get a replacement

Most of these are generic. If you don't have a local BBQ store, try searching "bbq replacement probe" at Amazon. If you know your thermometer's model number or name, you can add that to your search.

Meat weighs 2llb 20oz how long should i cook it for we like it medium rare ?

The best thing you can do is to buy a BBQ digital thermometer that you place in the meat during cooking. They have a heavy duty wire with a temperature probe on the end. Sear the meat directly over the coals (or hot side of a gas grill), then move the meat to a cool side and then insert the temperature probe and close the grill lid. Cook until it reaches desired temp, for me 125 degrees is perfect. The total cooking time is hard to judge as it depends on your grill cooking temp, but the digital thermometer takes all of the guesswork out of the equation as to when the meat is done.

What are digital probe thermometers? Are they used for cooking meat?

yes - digital probe thermometers are very good for testing whether meat is cooked. The thin sensor is inserted into the fattest part of the meat. A wire then runs from the sensor out of the oven door, so that you can keep an eye on the temperature without having to keep taking it out the oven.

I have a polder digital thermometer with two probes--but I didn't get instructions with them.. Can I insert the probe in the oven with the meat cooking or use only with the meat out of the oven to test it...

Timer is not identified for certain.
1) Some Polder timers have in-oven thermometer, and others say not to use thermometer inside oven.

2) The 12453 dual-sensor says inside-oven is ok

3) The 894 dual sensor says inside-oven is ok

4) TM360 dual probe says inside-over is ok

Polder timer manuals appear on following link:

Smoker h20 deluxe

Hi,
I'm a smoker expert having entered in competitions. Thermometers built into the lid are inaccurate because you want to measure the temperature at the same level the meat is at. Heat will rise and will give you a false reading at the top of the lid. Get a digital thermometer that has a cable and a probe on the end. Cut a small potato in half and stick the probe through it so the point exits the potato and is balanced when it sits on the grill. Then run the cable outside to your thermometer. Shade the thermometer from bright sunlight. If you don't want to do this you can simply get a regular thermometer that will measure at least to 225 or more. Stick the thermometer in the top vent of the smoker or if there is no vent just drill a small hole in the lid. Put the thermometer through the vent or hole in the lid and add 10-15 degrees to allow for heat buildup. Example 240 degree thermometer temp will be about 225 at meat level. You may have to experiment with these readings. Happy smoking! Go to my favorite website for smoking.....Google search " Virtual Bullet" and you should be at the Weber Bullet site. Hank

I have a Sunbeam digital meat probe thermometer used once. Now the display for thermo/temp comes up H instead of the temperature of the meat. What is wrong? Sunbeam digital meat probe thermometer has quit...

I left mine in a hot tub for well over an hour. It started reading room temp at about 125 degrees. It worked for me to put the thermometer in the freezer until the readings were correct. hope this works for you.

I have the same problem. The problem is the probe went bad. I had a friend with another sumbeam digital probe (the mavrick) put that probe into mine and the temperature reading was working properly. So, now I am looking for a replacement probe. but looks like I will have to just buy another digital meat probe.
