The fridge (yes it is level) is a side by side and the problem is that the door hinge is has the reverse grade to operate.
Normal Operation:
***\___/***
When the door opens it is supposed to go downhill to use gravity to help open it. they past half-open it starts to use gravity to slow the opening of the door and prevent it from slamming open.
The was mine works:
****\___-BAM
The door throws itself open and is impossible to slam shut. It is like the hinges are upside-down.

no it's not possible
What's the handle like?
We like the feel of the handles on the fridge and freezer. The space is narrow and therefore possibly less comfortable for larger hands. It's worth noting the handles cannot be switched to the other side.
what's the model number and what's happening with it,do you mean the fridge is on top and freezer on bottom?open the fridge door, look up on right hand side up near ceiling and send the model number and the first two numbers of the serial number
Check the bottom fridge door hinge. There should be two plastic cams, one that mounts to the door and one that mounts to the hinge. From your discription it sounds as if thoes cams have broke and need to be replaced
it could be a defective cold control, you can use a jumper wire to bypass this and see if the compressor starts,or it could be a bad ptc overload on the compressor itself, and these are easily changed too
The only thing you need to do is let us test the auto vent. Yes you may need to take it out but it has a thermostat built into it. Drop the pig tail in cold icy water and warm the thermostat pigtail. If door does not open or shut replace it.Tell me your freezers temp?

There are no springs to assist refrigerator doors to close.
The fridge doors can be made to close themselves by adjusting the height of the feet of the fridge. "Pitching" the fridge slightly away from the hinge will accomplish this. If the foot on the hinge side of the fridge door is slightly higher than the foot on the handle side of the door, the door will usually want to close by itself. If the fridge is a side-by-side type and this is done, one door will close by itself and the other will want to remain open (or open fully). In this case, it's best to have the fridge as close to level as possible.
In a Home the recommended level (front higher to back lower) is 1/4" (Right to Left - level) Never less than in order to allow door to shut own their own, but there is nothing wrong with having a perfect level refrig if everyone closes the doors properly which they won't. A refrigerator requires to be reasonable leveled to avoid compressor fatigue. In a Motorhome people can't always find level ground, so it quite frequent that their refrigerator burns up when running. From that experience I'd say I would level any fridge which is over 1/2 inch off.
