Hi I recently have had problems with my fridge freezer ice maker not dispensing ice. It still makes a noise when you select to dispense cubes or crushed ice but nothing comes out. Water can be dispensed ok. I checked the bin and that was full of ice. I removed most of it in case it was blocked with ice but that was no help. I can turn the rotor and the metal lever that operates the dispenser door if I try myself. The dispenser can't be operated if the freezer door is open but if I leave the bin out, click ice and quickly open then I can see that the metal part that rotates the ice does work. However I am not sure if the part that operates the lever to open the dispensort door works. I can't really see what moves the metal lever. Any ideas? It seems operating the dispensor door is the issue. Thanks, Gary
I have the same problem. I am getting tired of having to clear it out about once a week. I take the ice holder out and empty it in a large bowl and remove any large, melted together pieces, then replace it. It works fine for a while.

Very problematic issue with this model .Try unplugging and plugging the fridgerator which resets the board.The board is located on top under a removeable panel where the power cord enters....there is a reset/diagnostic button on the board itself.Contact LGUSA.com for any possible warranty and complain like crazy to avoid spending $300 on this board which can be purchased from andrewselectronics.com who is a factory authorized parts provider.Keeping that ice maker going will make you pull your hair out which is unfortuante for such a stylish and expensive fridge.good luck

Sounds like the flap or door directly above where the cup would be is not opening. Press lever and look up in there, if that is the case there is a problem inside the door.
